2. Acceptance of Terms
By placing an order, you confirm that:
- You have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
- You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
- You have provided accurate, complete, and up-to-date information.
- You are authorised to instruct repair work on the device submitted.
Checkout via our website constitutes full acceptance of these Terms.
3. Sending Your Device to Us
Customers are fully responsible for arranging and paying for shipment of their device to us.
You must:
- Use the correct shipping address supplied by us.
- Package the device securely and appropriately for transport.
- Use a tracked service and, where appropriate, an insured delivery option.
- Include sufficient identifying information, such as your order number and contact details.
We are not liable for:
- Loss or damage in transit to us.
- Courier delays, delivery errors, or failed delivery attempts.
- Devices sent to the wrong address.
- Insufficient packaging by the customer.
Responsibility for the device remains with the customer until it has been delivered to and signed for by us.
4. Diagnostic and Repair Services
All devices may undergo inspection, testing, and diagnostic assessment before or during repair. We reserve the right to determine the appropriate process for each job.
We reserve the right to:
- Refuse service.
- Revise quotes following inspection or further testing.
- Decline repair where uneconomical, impractical, unsafe, or not viable.
- Stop work where additional issues are discovered.
No guarantee is provided that any device can be repaired, that any repair will restore full or original functionality, or that any repair will resolve all faults unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
Repairs are carried out to address specific faults only. Repairing one issue does not guarantee the correction of unrelated, hidden, intermittent, or developing faults.
Repairs may involve the use of replacement, refurbished, recovered, compatible, or donor components where new original parts are unavailable. Exact cosmetic or manufacturing match cannot always be guaranteed.
Diagnostic fees, labour charges, and any time spent assessing or working on a device are non-refundable once work has commenced, regardless of outcome.
5. Intermittent Faults & Mechanical Wear
Devices with intermittent faults or mechanical wear, including but not limited to buttons, switches, flex cables, ports, connectors, speakers, microphones, solder joints, and moving components, may function during testing but fail again over time.
By proceeding with repair, you acknowledge and accept that:
- Repair of a reported fault does not guarantee long-term reliability.
- Underlying wear, degradation, or weakness may remain within the device.
- Additional faults may develop during use after repair due to age, wear, or pre-existing condition.
- Any recurrence of faults outside the stated warranty period will be treated as a new repair.
6. Customer Data Responsibility
Customers must back up all data before sending their device to us.
We do not intentionally access personal data unless necessary for testing or verification of the reported fault. In some cases, customers may be asked to provide a passcode or access credentials where required for testing.
We are not responsible for:
- Data loss.
- Data corruption.
- Data recovery.
- Software issues arising before, during, or after repair.
Repairs may require software resets, disconnection of power sources, replacement of components, or other procedures that could affect stored data or settings.
7. Return Shipping to Customers
Devices will be returned to the address provided at checkout or to another address expressly agreed by us in writing.
Customers are responsible for ensuring all address details are accurate and complete. Address changes requested after order placement may not be possible.
Return postage options are selected at checkout. We strongly recommend choosing a tracked and appropriately insured return method.
Once the parcel has been handed to the courier, delivery is subject to the courier’s processes and compensation limits. Tracking details will be provided where applicable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for courier delays, delivery errors, theft, failed deliveries, or losses beyond the compensation available under the selected courier service.
Additional charges apply where parcels are returned due to incorrect address details, failed delivery, refusal of delivery, or non-collection.
8. Pre-Existing Damage and Device Condition
Many devices submitted for repair are used, aged, damaged, previously repaired, liquid-affected, corroded, or otherwise compromised before they arrive with us.
We are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing faults or damage.
- Hidden, latent, or developing defects.
- Previous repair attempts, missing parts, or non-original parts fitted by others.
- Age-related component failure.
- Failure of weakened, brittle, corroded, adhered, sealed, or fragile components during normal disassembly or reassembly.
Where damage is caused directly and solely by our workmanship, we will take reasonable steps to address the issue, subject to inspection and parts availability.
9. Warranty
Any warranty provided applies only to the specific repair carried out and only for the period stated on the relevant product or service listing, unless otherwise confirmed by us in writing.
Warranty does not cover:
- Physical, accidental, or impact damage.
- Liquid damage, moisture ingress, or corrosion.
- Misuse, neglect, accidental damage, or excessive wear.
- Battery wear, battery performance expectations, or normal degradation unless the battery itself was the specific repair carried out and remains within the warranty terms.
- Unrelated faults.
- Intermittent faults caused by worn, aged, or degraded components.
Warranty is void if:
- The device has been opened, tampered with, altered, or repaired by any third party after our work.
- There is evidence of misuse, accidental damage, liquid damage, or improper charging/power use after return.
- Serial numbers, tamper indicators, or identifying marks have been removed or altered.
All warranty claims are subject to inspection by us before any decision is made.
10. Abandoned Devices
Devices not paid for, not responded to, or not claimed within 60 days of notification will be considered abandoned.
We reserve the right to:
- Dispose of the device.
- Recycle the device.
- Use the device for parts.
- Sell the device to recover outstanding costs.
No compensation will be provided in respect of abandoned devices.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
- Loss of data, use, income, profits, business, contracts, goodwill, or opportunity.
- Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss.
- Any loss arising from delays, inability to source parts, manufacturer defects, third-party actions, courier performance, or pre-existing device condition.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability in connection with any claim relating to our service shall be limited to the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to that claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by law.
12. Payments and Chargebacks
All diagnostic charges, repair costs, parts costs, labour charges, storage charges where applicable, and return shipping charges must be paid in full before the device is returned.
We reserve the right to retain the device until full payment has been received and cleared.
By placing an order, you agree not to initiate unjustified, false, or fraudulent chargebacks or payment disputes.
We reserve the right to dispute chargebacks using evidence including but not limited to:
- Tracking data.
- Order records.
- Diagnostic notes.
- Bench photographs.
- Repair records and testing evidence.
- Email and message communication history.
Fraudulent chargebacks, payment reversals, or attempts to obtain services without payment may result in debt recovery action or legal proceedings.
13. Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse service, cancel an order, or return a device unrepaired at our discretion, including where a repair is not viable, parts are unavailable, communication has broken down, or abusive, threatening, or unreasonable conduct has occurred.
14. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform our obligations where this results from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to courier disruption, supplier delay, customs delay, technical failures, utility outage, illness, severe weather, natural events, cyber incidents, or government action.
15. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, unless applicable consumer law provides otherwise.
